Booking your package and Payments

In order to book your ‘Live & Play” package, you must complete the on-line booking form. Within 24 working hours of receiving your fully completed booking form, we will send a confirmation that there is availability for your times of travel and a deposit of 10% of the final invoice amount (unless otherwise indicated) must be paid at the time of confirmation. The deposit is part of your final payment, which is due no less than 60 days prior to departure (unless otherwise indicated). Should full payment not be received by this date we reserve the right to cancel the booking and issue cancellation charges as shown below. When a booking is made within 70 days of departure, full payment should be sent with the booking form. Payment should be made in Euros (unless otherwise indicated). When full payment has been made this will confirm for both parties that the accommodation and the golf membership has been ordered by the guest and guaranteed by the supplier (Live and Play) and is binding for both parties. We accept all major credit cards; however a 1% charge will be added to cover the cost of this transaction.

Taxes

The cost of the package includes value added tax (IVA) as charged under Spanish Law.

Insurance

In the interest of all visitors, travel and cancellation insurance is strongly recommended and we suggest you purchase this insurance prior to travel. Please be aware that a guest’s standard health insurance may not cover the period you are staying abroad, so please check the level of your cover before you travel

Cancellations and Refunds

All cancellations must be in writing, via fax or mail. Prior to 60 days, all packages have a 100% non refundable deposit. Within 60 days prior to departure and if received in writing, the following penalties will apply: 30 to 59 days: 60% of total booking price Less than 30 days: 100% of package

Arrival and Departure

All guests will be invited to the Live and Play offices at Marbella Golf and Country Club on arrival. When guests arrive at the office, they will receive a Welcome Pack, directions and keys for their accommodation. Guests will be asked to confirm arrival time so that someone will be available to meet them in the office or at a prearranged meeting point. Where available, a representative from Live & Play, will accompany clients to their accommodation. Apartments will be available from 3.00pm on the on the day of arrival and need to be clear by 10am on the day of departure. The package period will start on the day of arrival.

Apartments

Guests will be allocated a minimum of a two-bed roomed apartment on arrival. All available apartments will be in the vicinity of the golf course and will be set within secure urbanisations. The apartments will be fully-furnished up to Scandinavian/English standard and fully installed with standard electrical domestic white goods. It is the guests responsibility to leave the apartment in the same condition as received. If the apartment should become unusable during the guests’ stay, an alternative apartment will be provided. The guest can be made responsible for any damage due to irresponsible behaviour. Please read the “house rules” upon arrival. All problems or snags that occur during the guests stay should only be rectified by Live and Play’s chosen management company. Guests are not authorised to arrange any kind of repair. Guests are responsible for the use of electricity, a fixed payment of €75 per booked month will be required on arrival to cover gas and electricity usage.. All other costs such as water consumption and final cleaning will be paid by “Live&Play”.

Golf

Your package will offer you unlimited free golf at the nominated golf course/courses during the period of your stay. All tee times will have to be booked by the guests directly with the management of the golf club and are subject to availability. In some cases, the participating golf clubs will offer Live and Play guests a 10% discount in their bar and restaurants at times specified in the welcome pack. All guests will be offered one year’s complimentary membership of ‘GOLF the COSTA’. This membership allows its members to benefit from substantial discounts at many other golf courses on the Costa del Sol (Membership card must be produced when booking at participating clubs). Membership of the GOLF the COSTA society allows guests to participate in the regular weekly and monthly tournaments that GtC arranges. It is advisable to carry a valid handicap certificate (maximum 36 ladies, 28 men) as some courses require this to be shown on arrival.

Changes

We reserve the right to change the golf course membership should circumstances prevail outside of the control of Live and Play that would affect the playing rights of the guests at the golf course that was originally booked. Should a guest wish to change their choice of package, this is possible up to 60 days before arrival on payment of a €100 administration charge.

Responsibility

The responsibility of Live and Play is limited. Services provided in connection with our itineraries are rendered by suppliers acting as independent contractors and not as agents or employees of Live and Play. In accepting these services you agree that Live and Play shall not be liable for any injury, death, loss, damage or delay in any circumstance. Live and Play acts only as an agent for services provided.
